The short version

Fresh Pantry stores your pantry data so your household can share it across devices. We keep only what the app needs to work, and none of it is sold, shared for advertising, or used to track you.

Your account

Syncing and household sharing require an account, created with your email address and a one-time code — no password, no profile beyond an optional display name. Without an account the app still works entirely on your device.

Your data

Your inventory, recipes, shopping lists, and meal plans are stored locally first, and synced to our servers so other members of your household and your other devices see the same pantry. They are visible only to you and the people you invite.

Paste import

When you paste text (like a receipt or a shopping list) to import it, that text is sent to our server, where an AI model turns it into suggested inventory updates for you to review. The pasted text is used only to produce those suggestions.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, a technical crash report (device model, OS version, stack trace — not your pantry contents) may be sent to Sentry, a crash-reporting service, so we can fix the bug. No advertising or analytics SDKs are included.

Deleting your data

Delete your account from Settings and your synced data is removed from our servers.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
