Privacy Policy
Effective July 7, 2026
The short version
If you plan as a guest, Pathfinding stores your trips only on your device. If you sign in, your account and trips are stored on our server so they sync across your devices.
Guest mode
In guest mode, your itineraries and preferences stay on your device. We receive no personal data.
Accounts
If you sign in, we store your email address (or your Apple ID or Google account identifier) and an authentication token. When you sign in with email, your password is hashed with scrypt and a unique per-account salt before storage; we never see or store it in plain text.
Your trips
Itineraries you create — destinations, dates, notes, the planning messages you send in chat, and the guides the app writes for you — are stored on our server under your account so they sync and can be shared with people you invite. They're used only to build and store your plans.
AI planning
The planning messages you send in chat, and the relevant parts of your itinerary, are sent to DeepSeek — the third-party AI service Pathfinding uses — to build and improve your plans and guides. Only what's needed to produce them is sent, and it's used only for that purpose.
What we don't do
No ads. No selling your data. No third-party trackers. We don't use your trips for anything beyond running the service for you.
Deleting your data
Delete individual trips any time, or delete your whole account in Profile → settings. Removal is permanent.
Changes
If this policy changes, the update will be posted here with a new effective date.
